Wood is extremely soft. It is not suitable for outdoor use out of the box
I knew the wood wasnt going to be high quality but I didnt expect it to be so light and soft. Im not planning on using it for humans but if you are it could be too week for the average American build. Its for my dogs to sit under, and my grapes to grow on, so itll just barely work for my needs. I am getting water sealant and spraying it down because it will go bad in the humid summers where I live.

Nice look. Waterproof it like any other outdoor wood product and securely anchor it.
Surprisingly, this light weight arbor kit has stood up to the weather through several seasons plus toppling over a couple of times. Just make sure you paint it with some sort of waterproof sealer (we used clear because I like the color of the wood) and anchor it at the base. It took a little while to assemble but it was conceptually easy to understand.
