Sturdy bridge. Easy to assemble
I have a 5-foot-long area just outside my door that floods with mud when it rains. It was easy to assemble this bridge with or without the railings, and it makes a sturdy stable path where I need it

The wood on this little bridge is soft, similar to pine, and dents easily. While assembling, I ended up using a hammer with a folded bath cloth as a makeshift mallet to get the pieces snug. The instructions were just okay—not terrible, but not great. One important detail that really should have been included is that the side rails between the posts are slanted and need to be installed to form a mountain shape (an upside‑down V). That gives the bridge a sense of going up and then back down.I bought this bridge for American Heritage Girls Bridge Crossing ceremonies, and it’s just the right size to feel like a “real” bridge while still being light enough for one person to move and store. A larger bridge might look grander but would be a hassle to store and transport.The bridge includes all necessary hardware except for a mallet and an extra wrench (it comes with one wrench, but you need two to tighten bolts and nuts). Overall, I’m pleased with it for indoor or event use. If you plan to use it outside, don’t expect untreated wood like this to last more than about two years. You’d need to paint or seal it—ideally with an environmentally friendly, low‑toxicity option for your own health and for those using the bridge.
