I was looking around for a car shelter for a vehicle of ours, to go next to the driveway under a lot of trees. I felt like having the option to fully enclose the shelter would be a great idea to keep the sun off, and dust and tree debris from blowing in on the vehicle. This is the reason I went with this one, despite having no reviews yet.I typically do not purchase items that have no reviews yet as I usually rely on reviews to help me make a decision. I have just finished assembling this shelter and my vehicle is part under it now, and I could not be more pleased and relieved that I can rate this highly.From reading reviews of other car shelters people will mention that the roof panels have a thin plastic film on top these come with the thin plastic film as well , but for the sake of time and energy we chose to just leave the plastic on the roof panels and assemble it like that. I think it would have doubled our effort to try to pull the plastic film off first before putting each panel on the roof. The panels overlap and sometimes do not lie flat over each other but that could be from our misalignment and maybe some from leaving the plastic on, making the panels thicker.I started assembling the roof as directed myself. Worked about 1.5 hours to get the full roof frame done. My 80 year old father came later that day and helped me attach the roof panels which took about 2 hours. The directions are not the most clear, but we were able to figure it out if you just think logically. We came back the next day to set it up on its legs, attach the last lower row of panel to the roof, and to finish assembling the frame, another 2 hours. I left the shelter open a day or two until I got around to putting up the tarp for enclosing it.As far as any tips on assembling be sure to start the roof panel correctly. The tape goes on the top of the bottom panel that you are inserting under the one above it! We were able to use to 2 Makita cordless drills with socket attachments to do all the drilling/screwing, and had to charge our batteries a few times during the whole assembly process.A nice value-added feature is the black leather-like that lines the roof edge on either end. I think it's a very nice touch and makes it look more appealing.The car we park underneath is not that big and just fits within the shelter at 15 ft. I felt like the 20 ft options was just too big and this one works, but wished there had been a 17 ft option.I am glad I can highly rate this car shelter and recommend it. The roof panels are very thin and dent easily, so expect that they might get dented if you put it under trees were branches might fall on it.Since it seems I'm the first reviewer, I am curious to see how others will rate this carport.
