Six Impossible Things –
Easy to Build, But STRONG Chemical Fumes!
This playhouse was super easy to put together. Took around 30 minutes or less by myself. It also arrived much quicker than stated. However, there was a fiercely strong chemical odor. Not like, "Oh that's a bit stinky." More like "OMG my eyes and throat are burning! And it smells too as a side note." Thankfully, im not using it with kids or i would be hesitant. Hours later, my throat is still a bit sore and irritated and you can very much smell it strongly when you walk outside past it. I have some time to let it sit outdoors and air out so will wait and see. Not sure with as strong as these chemicals are if it will in time. I would definitely recommend painting and sealing it if you're planning on keeping it outdoors in the winter or get a lot of water as the wood is thin enough where moisture will probably warp it if not weatherproof. If that odor goes away, I'd buy it again. I couldn't even let my daughter help me build it because it was so strong and she's sensitive to many chemicals. If it was making me react (when I normally wouldn't have), I definitely wasn't going to risk exposing her to it. If those fumes go away, it should be a great little house though.

Cute little playhouse
Great little playhouse. I actually bought this to convert into a coop for our smaller bantam chickens and it’s going to work great! But my seven year old has had fun playing in it the past few weeks. It’s definitely stable and was easy to put together on my own with my drill. I feel like it’s a safe little playhouse that will last in our NC weather. I will say, the finish is like a flat paint finish, so if it’s going to be sitting out where it will be rained on a lot I would add some type of protector on the wood. I plan to paint it with exterior paint to match our other coop. The windows are so cute and definitely allow for more air flow than other playhouses I’ve seen. The reason for the missing star- the walls are made of boards that fit together and are premade before shipment. On two of the walls, the boards aren’t fit together securely, so they slightly shift around and leave 1/4 inch space. It’s fixable but just an inconvenience when it’s obvious it’s a defect in the manufacturing.Overall, definitely happy with my purchase. As a mom of 4, I would recommend this for children for young children up to age 5. My 7yr old can play in it, but it’s pretty small for her.
